The New Moulin Rouge

#newmoulinrouge #gcvb

  • The one and only New Moulin Rouge was THE place to be culturally included in a very real Gullah historic music and bar club within downtown Charleston. The club operated and influenced downtown life for half a century before a fire struck and left the building unusable. If you had a glass with your name on it behind the bar, you were famous, and if you came in regularly, you were family. Home of Bill Wilson and the Secrets, it was like walking right up to a pot-of-gold at the end of the rainbow. If you were lucky enough to experience this jewel during its decades of late nights making tremendous memories, or if you want to see authentic history resurface and sustain for generations to come, then join us for renourishing and bringing this national treasure back to its glory!
